In 2021, I lived and worked as a Housekeeping Inspector at a luxury glamping resort, Under Canvas, located outside of the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. During this time, commissioned by the property's General and Assistant Managers, I designed and printed Comfort Colors t-shirts for the 2021 West Yellowstone housekeeping staff, as well as an Under Canvas West Yellowstone-inspired sticker pack.
Housekeeping Appreciation Week Tees
I photographed each housekeeper in their element with my Canon EOS R RF24-105mm. Dennis, our best (and only) male housekeeper, became the subject of this design by popular vote. Using Adobe Photoshop, I created a digital collage using his photo, an old "Good Housekeeping" magazine cover, as well as several photographs of Montana landscapes and wildlife. The staff wanted a t-shirt that was both comfortable and stylish, so I printed the design on the Heavyweight Color Blast t-shirt (Fern) from Comfort Colors.
Under Canvas West Yellowstone Themed Stickers
The housekeeping t-shirts went over so well with the staff that management requested stickers to display on the concierge desk. I picked, arranged, and photographed tents and flowers from around the property to create the first few designs. I also sourced popular imagery from Yellowstone National Park to create unique, location-specific designs for the West Yellowstone Under Canvas. Most of our guests were outdoor enthusiasts, so I printed these designs on waterproof die-cut sticker paper for increased durability.
